While HTC's premium hardware has been a main attraction for buyers, many of the new features came from HTC sense 5. Along with other features, NFC sharing  has been improved a lot. Lot of users are actually upgrading to HTC one m7 to learn new ways to experiment  NFC. While they found NFC is a great medium to share files like pictures and videos, some of them are not pleased with NFC's limitations.

We tried finding out how NFC sharing works with other devices. We shared a picture with Samsung Galaxy S4 via NFC. S4 easily recognized the file shared and saved it to its memory. Then we tried sending a picture from Galaxy S4 to HTC one.

HTC one recognized incoming  file is about to be shared through NFC. after a few seconds, the alert dialogue just disappeared and  it was redirected to play store which was followed by an alert message saying "item not found, retry".  that was weird.

HTC One M7 gets Android 4.2.2 Jellybean Update

HTC One M7 gets it's first major update - Android 4.2.2 jellybean. The HTC russia head has recently tweeted about the 4.2.2 update for HTC One and some users from europe have already updated their handsets to 4.2.2. How to Reboot HTC One(m7) | freezes and becomes unresponsive

The ambient light sensor is checked before the reboot will take place, hence the recommendation of rebooting with a light pointed at the sensor or at least in a brightly lit room.

HTC One M7 - Poor signal reception problem

One of our readers- Matt who own T Mobile HTC One has reported some problems regarding poor signal reception. The user had hard time in getting signal for his devices at various public places like - cafeteria, Metro station and basement. Though the problem is very intermittent and only few users could experience this issue. there's a simple solution for this problem and before you try this solution make sure that you have properly change the Wi-Fi calling settings.

Go to the Wi-Fi settings and make sure that the priority for wifi calling was NOT set to wifi only when available rather than whichever is better. So when it has strong wifi singnal and weak network signal, it switches to wifi signal and drops the network completely.

After the small check, follow the procedure to solve your signal reception problem.

• First restart the HTC One
• Go to  settings >> open mobile data >> verify that network mode is set to all types
• from mobile data menu >> select network operators automatically.

HTC One Heating issues with Solution - Affects battery

Another thing about HTC One is faster battery drop while device gets hotter but we are yet to confirm these issue. It's not recommended to use your phone while you charge it and the phone can rise upto the temperature of  40 Celsius with such usage.

HTC M7 Problem - Unresponsive home & back keys

Are you having issues with your HTC One  home / back key ? HTC One M7 users have been talking about  the home button of the device which is unresponsiveness. After waiting for more than a month, HTC One Developer's Edition is up for pre order. AT&T and Sprint will first network to start a pre-ordering. Developer's edition is highly debated point and different people have different opinions about both - Locked  devices and developer's edition. Price of dev edition is $649. This is unlocked device with 64 GB version which is maximum memory available for the smartphone. They are even offering free shipping and a free case for being an early bird.

Advantages of Developer's edition over locked ones

• Carrier devices have the pre installed  AT&T apps which is kind of annoying but the developer's edition will be free from any such customization.

AT&T becomes the first network carriers to start pre-ordering of the HTC one. they are offering two variants of the phone which are 32 GB and 54 GB. shocking news for the buyers would be missing black colour handsets. Lot of buyers will be interested in buying no contract phone.

No contract AT&T HTC One Pricing

people tend to buy no contract phone from network carrier rather than buying a developer edition. the 32 GP Silver no contract device costs  $599.99  whereas the 64 GB version is priced at $649.99. There's no official word about the developers edition and no such pre-order has started.

usually, AT&T make some changes and puts the layer over the original android OS. For HTC One, the carrier has not made many changes and tried to The device as original as it can be which is a great thing.

AT&T HTC One Pre order starts - No black color Option

Finally a AT&T starts the pre-ordering of  HTC one devices. The official message displayed on AT&T's website says that the pre-order will be start from April 19th. It's the first carrier in the USA to offer two versions of HTC one- 32 GB and 64 GB. the only bad news about the phone is- there is no colour option. Silver white is the only option offered by the AT&T. As we all know, one has two colour variants- Silver and Black.

 There are two pre-order plans:

• 32 GB Silver - $199 with a two-year contract
• 64 GB Silver - $299 with a two-year contract

No black color for AT&T HTC One

lot of AT&T users were waiting for the device to start selling in USA. not having a colour option can be a disappointment for some of the loyal HTC fans. There is always good to have color options and people prefer to buy black coloured phone.

We have talked to the support team and they have confirmed that they do not have any black device up for the pre-order. So if you're going to pre-order the phone, you will be getting the cell model. It seems like it will take a while for company to get the color option.

It has been just few days after the launch of HTC one, we have got few users who have already broken the display screen, yay !!  HTC one uses gorilla glass 2 for their display screen but it seems like even gorilla glass  2 fails when a device is fell right on it's face.

in a picture, you can see lot of cracks and the shattered display of the device. this highlights another disadvantage of this device - no edges around the display to protect when it directly falls on the ground. Sony Xperia Z has this feature and even if the phone falls directly on the display, the brackets around the display will absorb all the shock and as display will not  touch the ground.

It seems like HTC one has clearly missed out this feature and user will have two be more careful while handling their devices.

How to Close Recent Apps in HTC One

Did you have problem in closing recent applications in your HTC one ? lot of users faced problems in finding a way to remove the recently used or recently opened application. From Android ICS (ice cream sandwich) OS update, every android device follows a unique way of showing the recently used apps.

Just press and hold the home button and you will see a list of recently used apps. Just drag the application which you want to close to either left or right and it will be removed from cache memory. HTC one has a quite different way to access and remove recently used applications.

Just double tap the home button and same interface with recently used apps will be shown. To close them just slide the box up and it closes the app. Rather than following native android methods, this is kind of new experiment from HTC and double tapping home key is quite simple and easy to understand.

HTC One M7 Battery Life endurance Test Result - 2300mAh not enough ?

HTC phones have been criticized for a weak battery life. HTC one's predecessor - One X's battery performance was petty disappointing. HTC fan boys were expecting One to come up with a bigger and better battery.  HTC One comes loaded with Li-Po battery of 2300 mAh. The battery looks decent and better than the previous but every device has different needs and usage of  power. Same battery used in 2 different devices will definitely give different results.

The device lasted for 7 hours. the brightness of the screen dramatically affects the battery life and that's why we decided to keep it on automatic mode. after the three tests, on an average it lasted for seven hours which is pretty disappointing.

# 2: average use

with 30 min of calling, a few text messages and some gaming with 3G on-HTC one lasted for nine hours.

though HTC has improved to 2300 mAh battery from One X's 1800 mAh battery, the awesome sharpness and clarity of display is still not enough. we would recommend users to to always switch to the power saving mode which is present in the device.
